These were the largest moths I've seen in my life. It took me a while to find them in Moth I.D, but they are Imperial Moths, (Eacles Imperialis) of the Wild Silk Moth family, subfamily: Royal moths. I put my hand in one of the photos to show size. The larger, more yellow one is the female. I found them after pruning some crape myrtle trees.
