The thing about my house is that it's cold. Back when this place was a boarding house, there were two fireplaces on each side- and doors in the middle of each room between to open, allowing heat from both fireplaces to warm the structure. Now they are sealed off and there is no central heating or cooling here. There are cracks and rot all over the place, cheap carpet over old nasty (they're not really nasty, but that's just what comes to mind) hardwood floors which are warped and termite bitten. Holes all up in here.
Suddenly it's already freezing and I've become in love with swimming.
I can already see a difference in my physique and health. I've also bought into the consumerism of blended treats the last 2 times I've been at the rec center because I felt so cleansed/dehydrated/hungry. It's a mix of blueberries, raspberries, strawberry- I think, and acqai from Brazil. It's a berry that's supposed to bring natural energy and has something like 30 or 60 (big difference, I know) times the antioxidants of red wine.
Wow. I'm a consumer who reads the posters around the booth too. Doesn't memorize the facts completely, but gets the catch phrases.
I am able to swim over half a mile now in one class taking laps. I've opted out of standing around helping the others when I could be working on something for myself. I felt like they did not want my help, or I couldn't help them to understand how to visualize themselves floating and be able to.
